Group 4 Reflections- Florence, Carin, Wee Ming, Azlin, Dayna

HI again. Today we went to the woods and did some research. We went to two different coups, one grown in 1998 and one in 2008. Firstly, we measured the light intensity using the lux meter. Next, we measured the relative humidity and wind speed. We also measured the soil temperature and temperature of surroundins. We learnt how vegetation grown from different years affects the growth of undergrowth and the relative humidity, temperature, light intensity, wind speed, pH of soil, amount of moisture of soil.

We also learnt new different types of species of plants like eg. sheeps' sorrell, stinging nettles, soft rush, blue bells, sweet chestnut, moss, honeysuckle, brambles, common grass etc. Wow thats a lot! :D We measured the disney diversity index too.

It was such an enriching and interesting trip. We benefited a lot and it was a very fruitful day. It was an unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Ta-da!
